Arts Administration Intern

RudduR Dance, a dynamic non-profit contemporary ballet company founded in 2015, is offering internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates passionate about gaining hands-on experience in arts administration. Although internships are initially unpaid, there is potential for growth into a paid position and the option to earn academic credit. RudduR Dance is committed to providing valuable learning experiences from the ground up, and we are open to crafting an exit review/evaluation for interns.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of fundraising campaigns

  • Provide support in grant-seeking, grant-writing, LOIs, and submissions to foundations, corporations, and government grant proposals and final reports

  • Identify new funding and choreographic opportunities

  • Update development calendar and timelines

  • Cultivate materials for potential donors/sponsors

  • Track and process incoming donations, manage thank you/acknowledgment letters, and maintain mailing lists

  • Contribute to the coordination of special events, including Gala fundraisers, RudduR Dance productions/performances, tours, residencies, rehearsals, cultivations, and community engagement activities

  • Handle social media and website updates, produce the weekly newsletter, and engage in occasional basic video filming and editing

  • Assist with basic accounting and record keeping


Requirements:

  • Preferred, but not required, prior experience in relevant fields

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Positive and professional demeanor with a flexible, can-do attitude

  • Interest in RudduR Dance’s mission and dedication to serving youth

  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets,etc.) and Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie, Garage Band)

  • Commitment to a minimum of 15 hours per week

  • Own a laptop (Apple preferred) and cellphone (iPhone preferred)

  • Sociable and team-oriented
