Marcela Corbellini Duarte

(Porto Alegre, Brazil) Ms. Duarte found her voice as an artist at the Anchieta Music & Dance Company in Porto Alegre, Brazil. In 2008 she moved to The United States and started a new life. With a latin, folkloric, ballet and contemporary background she started performing at events such at Miami Salsa Congress, Orlando Salsa Congress, New York Salsa Congress, and was part of musical productions A Chorus Line, Hair and Chicago. She trained at Florida Circus School where she started her solo career as a circus performer. Subsequently, she become a member of TOC Project, Body & Soul dance company as a soloist. As a member of Flying Arrow Productions, she performed at Mansion Nightclub, as well as other high profile events for clients like Dr. Pepper, Miami Music Week, and for Pit Bull. Ms Duarte has also done Aerial/dance workshops and shows, presenting her own work at festivals, such as: Dance4Life fest in Jamaica, Choreographer’s Ball in Miami, and Oberlin College in Ohio. Currently, Marcela is a student at the Martha graham Dance School, in New York. She has been working for many corporate events such as the Super Bowl (as an aerialist), Dance productions: Table of silence (Buglisi Dance Theater), Aerial Artistry, Innovative Theater Awards ceremony, and showing her own choreography at Galapagos Art Space, Cabaret Under the bridge, and other dance concerts around the city. She is very excited to join Ruddur Dance for it's inaugural season and perform at STREB Lab for Action Mechanics.
